payment gateway at the first ParlayX Plugtests™ for web based services
for telecommunications networks, hosted by
ETSI -- European
Telecommunications Standards Institute.
eBIZ.mobility tested with the telecommunications' industry leaders
including:
Testing was
performed on the interoperability of eBIZ.mobility's payment application
programming interfaces (API), with the companies' Parlay Gateways and SMS
Gateways.
eBIZ.mobility tested its new RMG payment gateway as a payment proxy for
roaming for all types of high value mobile services. In the unprecedented
three-way tests, two payment systems from different companies were able to
connect via the RMG and conduct a transaction.
The tests demonstrated the viability of roaming for a wide range of premium
services, including mobile payment for cross-network delivery of:
- Video clips
- Television to mobile
- Ringtones and screensavers
- Prepaid top-up
- Games
Testing results proved that the RMG payment gateway is interoperable with
the market's leading systems that deliver premium content to mobile
subscribers.
According to ETSI, roaming accounts for 10% of mobile services traffic
revenue. In addition, network operators generally earn 40-60% commissions
on premium digital content.
