eBIZ.mobility LTD has filed for patent protection

Bet Shemesh, Israel, 6 November, 2003
eBIZ.mobility LTD has filed for patent protection for its innovative m-commerce interoperability technology that forms the basis of the M-Commerce Roaming Mediation Gateway™. The patent filing represents a major milestone in meeting the company's objectives.

The Patent Pending M-Commerce Roaming Mediation Gateway™ is set to revolutionize the industry for M-Commerce and Value Added Services. It provides seamless roaming to end users to perform mobile payment transactions and to purchase data services across international boundaries via mobile telephone networks that employ different network, service, billing, and payment systems.

With 1.22 Billion mobile phone subscribers worldwide as of May 2003, according to the GSM Association, 863 Million of whom are served by GSM networks; the Tower Group projects 1 Billion macropayment transactions (ticketing, remote internet, purchases) and 25 Billion micropayment transactions (Multimedia Messaging Services, digital content, gaming, Music MP3 downloads, parking meters) by Year 2007 to be conducted via mobile phones. Together with roaming that accounts for 10% of all mobile traffic today according to Logica CMG, the mobile payment market is at the beginning stage of what BWCS estimates will become a $380 billion industry by Year 2010. eBIZ.mobility's M-Commerce Roaming Mediation Gateway™ eliminates inter-operator commercial risk for this market on a real-time basis.
