New online payment method enables user authentication and
payment authorization in real-time, anywhere on the Internet
Rockville, MD, 7 February,
2007
The Zitelman Group announced today it has invested in eBIZ.mobility LTD, creators of a ground-breaking online payment processing solution for digital content downloads.
Using the Universal OneTouch Online Purchasing™ solution from eBIZ.mobility, consumers can buy digital content online without a credit card or fear of identity theft. The system allows consumers to charge downloads to existing accounts at phone companies, ISPs and banks. Consumers who have been unable or unwilling to buy online because of safety or ease-of-use concerns will find the OneTouch solution a welcome payment alternative for lower price digital content downloads like music, video clips, ring-tones and games.
Jeremy Kagan, founder and CEO of eBIZ.mobility emphasizes that OneTouch is a triple-win value proposition for consumers, on-line merchants and billing providers alike. "Consumers want a quick, easy payment solution which protects their privacy, on-line merchants want to reduce fraud and sell more, and Telcos, ISPs and banks are searching for additional revenue streams. With OneTouch, everybody gets what they're looking for," he explained.
The OneTouch solution, which is based on eBIZ.mobility's Federated Payment™ technology, is completely scalable and, unlike other online payment solutions, is not limited by international borders. It is specifically designed to profitably process the smaller fees, or micro-payments, often associated with digital content.
The Federated Payment technology enables third party online payments using patent-pending ciphering and securing methods that eliminate the need to expose any consumer's personal or financial information online. Consumers do not need to open and fund a separate account as is the case with other online payment mechanisms.
"The principals of eBIZ.mobility are first rate telecom and software professionals. The company has original and deep technology and a very clear strategic vision" said Rick Zitelman, President of The Zitelman Group. "We are excited about working with eBIZ.mobility. They have identified a need in a very large market and are providing the solution. We are confident that with their expertise and dedication, and strategic and operating guidance from us, eBIZ.mobility will prove to be a very successful company."
According to a new report by Gartner Dataquest, the global music download market alone is estimated to reach $32.2 billion by 2010. Their projection does not include other lucrative digital content markets such as videos, photos, or subscription services to news and sports content. In addition, 82% of people downloading music indicated a preference to "pay per download" in a recent survey by Akamai Technologies Inc.
