Online Casino operators generally offer closed applications where they have a strong interest to keep the end user engaged with the application even to perform third party activities such as payment. Other examples besides casinos include enterprise applications, and software as a service (SaaS) applications.
OneTouch has a dedicated API that enables an internet payment processing request to be generated from within an embedded application such as a Casino cashier, while maintaining the security, trust, and usability that is required for secure Internet Payment.
Use of the OneTouch Cashier App requires a separate agreement to the standard OneTouch Service Agreement. For enterprise and SAAS applications, the OneTouch App is available worldwide. For online casino cashiers, this application is available only in jurisdictions where online gambling is legal.
One of the Foundations of OneTouch Online Purchasing, is that the end-user only gives personal information (Username, Password) AT the Website/Portal of his/her known, trusted payment Provider (biller) TO his/her trusted Billing Provider. Our Billing Provider clients believe it is important to the end-user that the authenticating website they are directed to, is the Branded site of their Trusted Billing Provider, and is not part of the Merchant Site, nor a OneTouch site. Currently, when someone clicks on the OneTouch logo they "move" inside their browser to a Billing Provider's website, where they sign in, using Login information known only to the user and to the Billing Provider. After completed authentication, authorization and transaction approval, the browser then "moves" back to the Merchant's site.
Besides web based commerce sites, there are also (Java based) applications that need embedded payment solutions, both on personal computers and cellular devices. These applications do not use a web browser, and leaving the application to go to a browser session is not a preferred solution since most cellular devices generally do not have "multiple windows" like a PC has, and the concept of application swapping is not as common as on a PC platform.
We have developed a specialized solution where the security and trusted confidence OneTouch provides, while enabling payment without leaving the application. With our solution, the end-user maintains the OneTouch experience by not giving personal logon or financial information to the merchant/application provider.
The eBIZ.mobility OneTouch Cashier App, applies to both personal computers and mobile handset platforms.
