eBIZ.mobility’s Federated Payment System facilitates clearing web purchases by any company that has a trust relationship with consumers. With eBIZ.mobility’s system, consumers can pay for off-portal digital content purchases such as video, music, ring tones, etc. by charging the phone bill, bank account, utility bill, or prepaid card that they prefer. Any electronic purchasing medium will do -- whether it's a PC at home or the office, or a mobile phone.
Since the consumer uses a trusted account that they already have, there is no registration, and no complicated checkout. Using eBIZ.mobility's innovative Federated Payment System merchants do not need to know about the consumer; only that they will get paid for the transaction. Only their trusted service provider knows the consumer's identity.
eBIZ.mobility's Federated Payment System provides secure efficient processing of on-line digital payment (micropayments and macropayments). By providing the information needed by a trusted service provider to perform risk assessment and authorization on a per-transaction basis in real-time and then processing payment from subscribers' Telco or ISP accounts, Federated Payment offers a cost competitive payment processing alternative to on-line merchants. Because the Federated Payment System enables payment from the customer's account (either postpaid or prepaid) and not from reverse SMS, the digital merchant takes home more while service providers earn a large commission while increasing their ARPU.
The Federated Payment System is deployed via a simple interface to the consumer's trusted billing entity (such as the Telco or Service Provider), as well as via an API, applet, or plug-in at the merchant’s shopping cart or payment page. Other installation options are supported as per the needs of individual clients.
